ABOUT
An original set of six stackable, mid-century high back, Rosewood dining chairs part of the “Scandia” series, designed by Hans Brattrud for Hove Møbler, Norway, circa 1957. Bent rosewood slats form the backs and seats of the chairs. The curved backs provide lumbar support creating maximum comfort. The chairs sit on a chrome base that form a hairpin frame of bent metal. Bumpers underneath the seats prevent damage when stacked. Original labels on five chairs.

HISTORY
The “Scandia” stackable chair received the Award for Design Council and was awarded a gold medal at the International arts and crafts fair in Munich.
