ABOUT
An original Underwood typewriter No.5 with a 15 inch carriage and an open-frame design. The typewriter works well and functions properly. Ribbon is good. The serial number is #732307 stamped in the inside. Original gold lettering. The keys are nickel with black letters. The keys vary in color from white to tan with one black key which was possibly replaced. All the keys strike properly.

The Underwood Typewriter Company was a manufacturer of typewriters headquartered in New York City. Underwood produced what is considered the first widely successful, modern typewriter. By 1939, Underwood had produced five million machines.
