An original rare 12ʹʹ Cramʹs Celestial Globe which features the constellations, the twelve zodiacs (identified as individual stars), the Milky Way, and other stars in a blue horizon with silver, yellow and gold details. The sphere is mounted into a full meridian made of metal and finished in a matte gold. The cradle style base is also made of metal which allows the globe to be removed. The horizon band (part of the base) has paper laminate that identifies the calendar as well as zodiacal information.

HISTORY

Celestial globes are not as common as terrestrial globes. Because of a lack in demand, Celestial Globes were not mass-produced as their counterpart. Instead they were primarily fabricated for the educational market.
