An antique wrench set box used to store a socket set. Box is constructed with dovetail joints, steel brackets and has original brass label.

HISTORY

Frederick E. Walden, wrench manufacturer, established the Walden Manufacturing Company 1908 to manufacture socket wrenches and related tools. The company moved to 72 Commercial Street in 1915. Name changed to Walden Worcester, Inc. in 1918. Company again moved in 1924 but was no longer listed after 1927. Many of the wrenches manufactured by the company were designed specifically for use on the Ford automobile (Model T).
