This is an original limited edition screen print #29/60 titled "Deja Vu" by artist Patrick Hughes, London 1976. "Deja Vu" is one of two seminal reverse perspective works by the artist. The experience of seeing the work is really to experience unreality and the paradox of illusory space and movement. The artwork has been framed in a matte grey shadowbox frame with UV protection glass.

HISTORY
Patrick was born in 1939 and held his first solo show in 1961 at the Portal Gallery, London. One of the major painters of contemporary British art, his works are in many public collections including: the British Library and the Tate Gallery, London; the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow; The Deutsche Bibliothek, Frankfurt and the Denver Art Museum. Hughes has exhibited in London and throughout Europe, South East Asia, America and Canada.
Hughes is known for exploiting the difference between perspective and reverspective and solidifying space. For the last 25 years his 3-D reverspective paintings have been exhibited around the world and featured in many public collections including the Tate Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
