HISTORY
PROVENANCE: This example was purchased while on holiday in Spain in the 1960s. It is thought then, that this example may have been made by Made by Valenti, Spain. This type of whimsical footstool has been created throughout the 20th century. One of the earliest examples, in the form of a pig, was released by the London firm Liberty & Co. as early as 1927. In the 1960s the concept was redeveloped by Dimitri Omersa who added his own animal form designs.
