Antique Luggage with Original Travel Stickers c.1900-1930

This is an original antique luggage. The luggage is covered with travel stickers that include "Amstel Hotel Amsterdam", London Midland and Scottish Highland Rail", the "Montreux Palace, Montreux, and the "Esplanade Hotel, Prague", among others. The luggage is black fabric trimmed in distressed brown leather with a leather handle, brass latch and locks. The key is missing. The piece has retained its original finish and is in good condition with appropriate patina for its age.

HISTORY
A brief history of the hotels visited with this luggage: The Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam is a historic property built in 1867 as a luxury hotel for the city on the east bank of the Amstel River in central Amsterdam. The architect Eugene Jost built the Montreux Palace in Montreux, Switzerland in a record time of 18 months and the hotel opened on March 19,1906. Inaugurated in 1927, the Esplanade Hotel Prague is set in the heart of the historic city center of Prague, Czech Republic. All remain open and are operating today.
