HISTORY
The Westwood Import Company Inc 682 Mission Street San Francisco, California were the main importers of Palomar binoculars into the US retail market after WWII. The optics of Palomar binoculars were made from the finest optical glasses, ground and polished to microscopic tolerances. Anti-reflection double coating of lenses and prisms reduces glare and increases light transmission.
Each pair of lenses are serial marked. And, according to their ad in an 1958 paper – whether you plan to study the habits of birds or plan to follow racers 'round the track, there's a Palomar binocular for you. Put yourself behind Palomar..."The best thing next to your eyes."
