Vintage Wooden Movie Studio Camera Tripod c.1920-1950

ABOUT
Vintage adjustable wooden movie studio tripod featuring a classic heavy-duty steel Mitchell top mount. A heavy-duty production tripod built during Hollywood’s Golden Age. It features robust, multi-ribbed sliding wooden legs that telescope smoothly, secured by classic knurled industrial metal lock rings. The top casting is a genuine flat Mitchell top configuration—the definitive industry standard originally designed to lock down massive 35mm studio film cameras without twisting.
Imprinted numbers on each leg and stenciled "2" on two legs. The legs terminate in heavy, pointed cast-metal shoes meant to bite firmly into the ground. Original canvas tie back attached.
