Early 20th c. "Turkey Sponge" Mahogany Chemist Bin c.1900-1940



Very rare chemist bin for "Turkey Sponge" with reverse painted gilt glass front panel. It would have been used as a hinged door for a large mahogany pharmacy display cabinet. When opened, it would have been full of loofah-like sponges.
