An original Underwood typewriter No.3 with a 15 inch carriage and an open-frame design. The typewriter works well and functions properly. Ribbon is good. The serial number is #757721 stamped in the inside. Original gold lettering. The keys are nickel with black and white letters. All the keys strike properly.

HISTORY
The Underwood Typewriter Company was a manufacturer of typewriters headquartered in New York City. Underwood produced what is considered the first widely successful, modern typewriter. By 1939, Underwood had produced five million machines.
