This is a depression era refurbished Royal Junior portable typewriter in the original case with leather handle. The keys are nickle and glass with black and greenish-yellow letters. This typewriter has smooth typing and the carriage moves properly. It has retained its original finish with minor blemishes. Serial # J29438.

HISTORY
The Royal Typewriter Company was founded by Edward B. Hess and Lewis C. Myers in January 1904 in a machine shop in Brooklyn, New York. The advertising and marketing in the 1930s for this model stated "Designed for children, housewives and letter writers."
