Mid 19th c. Primitive Bench c.1850s
A large primitive, distressed wooden bench made from the assemblage of two different pieces. Common for the period. The top is made from one plank of wood and has a scored, checkerboard pattern made from a drafting table. The legs are hand turned. This piece has retained its original paint and patina.
