Antique L.C. Smith & Bros. No.8 Standard Manual Typewriter c.1925
ABOUT
An antique L.C. Smith & Bros. Typewriter No.8 with a 14 inch carriage and an open-frame design. The keys are nickel with white face and black numbers. Four rows of keys with a top row of decimals. Original gold lettering on top and front of the typewriter. The typewriter functions properly and works very well. All the keys work properly. The ribbon is new. The carriage slides smoothly from side to side. Serial #557877-8.

- CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. The triangular top of the left ribbon guide has broken off. The space bar was cracked and has been repaired. Minor wear to the body.

The L.C. Smith & Bros. Typewriter Company was founded in Syracuse, N.Y. on January, 1st, 1903. L.C. Smith & Bros. merged with Corona Typewriter Company in 1925 to become "L.C. Smith Bros. & Corona Typewriters, Inc." headquartered in Syracuse, N.Y.
