This is an original large solid bronze loving cup trophy marked Dodge Inc. on the bottom. The distressed trophy has decorative leaves on the top, bottom and arms. The heavily patinated trophy has retained some of its original color with minor damage.

HISTORY

Ray E. Dodge, a former Olympic runner was the founder of Dodge Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of trophies. He began the company in Chicago after competing in the 1924 Olympics and the Pan American games the following year. He moved the company to Los Angeles and began making the Oscars in 1930 and the Emmy's in 1949.
