ABOUT
This is an original highly decorated multi-gemstone Nepalese snowlion with coral stones throughout the body and head. There are large turquoise stones for the eyes, the necklace and tail. One stone is missing from the necklace.The body, head, feet and tongue are brass filigree. A white stone is used in the teeth and feet with a few missing on two feet. Black onyx is in the eyebrows. The head and feet are removable and adjustable. This piece has retained its original finish with minor losses of stones.

HISTORY
This piece was designed by New York native Lee Bernay who worked in India in the 1960s. His designs included animal figures, belt buckles and intricate chess pieces and chess boards.
