HISTORY

Founded in 1950's in Kobe, Japan. Also known as Kobe Yoko Ltd., Yoshiya was a major Japanese toy manufacturer from the postwar period.
Yoshiya specialized in mostly mechanical or wind-up toys, but they are also known for its extensive line of Robby the Robot knockoff toys. Tokyo based Yoshiya appears to have been in business from the early 1950's through the early 1970's.
