ABOUT

An original Jens Risom large executive desk constructed from Solid Walnut and built for design and durability. The left hand side of the desk has three drawers with dividers and a pull-out tray for additional surface workspace. The right side has a pull-out tray and two drawers, one of which is a file cabinet drawer. Large segmented middle drawer in the middle. Each drawer has large, curved Walnut pulls and minimal pulls for the trays. The desk is set on adjustable metal risers. Original label.

  • MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES Solid Walnut. 
  • CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear on top. Very sturdy. Minor fading. Drawers function properly. Missing divider left side drawer.
  • DIMENSIONS H 29.25 in. W 81.5 in. D 36 in. Knee Height 25.5 in.


HISTORY

The first true Knoll designer, Jens Risom joined the young Hans Knoll Furniture Company in the early 1940s as the sole designer of interiors and furniture.
