A set of four antique bow-back Windsor style banker's or library chairs styled by the Phoenix Chair Company. Phoenix heavily marketed these traditional bow-back styles in their 1938 and 1948 catalogs. The chairs feature solid quarter-sawn oak, curved lumbar spindles, metal sliders and a contoured wooden saddle seat. Original maker's stamp and date underneath.
