A late 19th c. modular 4 stack lawyer's bookcase with brass knobs, brass plated metal straps and glass doors that open and slide in from the top. Original wavy glass in each shelf. Mahogany finish with an Oak finish in the interior. 

The whole piece is modular consisting of 6 pieces: the top, the bottom and four cabinets that all interlock. Original "Globe-Wernicke" stamp.

  • DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1890-1899.
  • MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Oak, Mahogany Finish, Glass, Brass, Metal. 
  • CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. No chips in the glass. Doors work properly. One brass knob is slightly different. Faded water ring on top. 
  • DIMENSIONS H 54 in. x W 34 in. x D 12 in., Inner Dimensions: H 9.25 in. W 32 in. D 9.5 in.
