ABOUT

An adjustable industrial stage light table lamp or floor lamp on wooden camera tripod. Height is fully adjustable and the light swivels at it's base and the light tilts. The base collapses and has a leather carrying handle. Original label on the tripod. Rewired with black and white fabric cord.

HISTORY

This iconic example of British design was made by the Strand Electric lighting company in their Covent Garden works in London's west end. The Strand spotlight - also known as the 'baby spot' was one of the workhorses of the theater industry from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Gandolfi was a British manufacturer based in London, a company which have made large format cameras in the traditional style using wood and brass for many years.
