American Military Planning Globe by Denoyer-Geppert c.1940-1950
ABOUT
Machine Age-style military planning globe composed of a spun metal blue orb with black slated land masses outlined in yellow. Longitudinal coordinates present on the Equator. The Military Globe was used for campaign planning and became an important element of military academies and at NASA, in addition to serving as geographical learning tools for classrooms (hence the lack of identifying information on the land masses). Presented as an exceptional geographical and military learning tool, it was simply designed and could be written on with chalk.
