Solid Brass Cup Trophy "Holy Cross Band 1954"
This is a original trophy that has inscribed "Holy Cross Band 1954 Edmond Merilh" The body and base are solid brass. The piece has appropriate patina for its age. There is light wear on the cup body and the base has very minor scuff marks.

Ray E. Dodge, a former Olympic runner was the founder of Dodge Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of trophies. He began the company in Chicago after competing in the 1924 Olympics and the Pan American games the following year. He moved the company to Los Angeles and began making the Oscars in 1930 and the Emmys in 1949.
