Historically utilized in print shops, law offices, and bookbinderies as a copying or nipping press. Cast from solid, heavy iron, the press features its dark weathered patina with original, faded decorations on the front, sides and back. The classic top-mounted wheel turning handle rotates smoothly, driving the central threaded screw assembly to effortlessly raise and lower the thick iron pressure plate.

Book not included.

CREATOR Unknown.

DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1890.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Cast Iron.

CONDITION Good.
