Antique French Expandable Field Binoculars c.1880
This is an original pair of French expandable binoculars. They are marked on each eyepiece with "Chevalier Opticien Paris". The objective lenses are 2 in diameter and their optics are good. The frame is a black coated metal and brass. The barrels are covered with black leather and the lower part expands out. The binoculars have retained their original finish with minor wear on the leather.
