Leather Hartman Luggage Briefcase c.1950
This is an original briefcase with wraparound leather straps, leather handle and brass snaps and locks. The interior is lined in two toned leather with a multiple pockets held secure with brass and leather straps. The combination lock code is 536 and works properly. The "Hartman Luggage" logo is on the side as well as an embossed "h" logo on one side. The luggage has retained its orignal finish and has the appropriate patina consistent with age and use.

Hartman Luggage is a manufacturer of luggage and leather goods established in 1877 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by trunkmaker Joseph S. Hartman, a Bavarian. In 1956, the company opened a manufacturing operation in Tennessee and the company's headquarters and plant facilities followed in 1959.
