The Boelter Case Metal Toolbox c.1920
This is an original metal clad wooden toolbox "The Boelter Case" made by Boelter Paper and Supply Co Chicago, USA. The metal brackets are marked on all sides with the company's logo. There is some rust coming through its original finish and the wooden interior has some wear & tear, as to be expected for an industrial object. The box's leather handle has worn down to the metal strip and its latch is no longer lockable.

At the time, he specialized in providing bar and janitorial supplies for taverns and rooming houses in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
