ABOUT
An original Underwood typewriter with black crinkle finish. The typewriter functions properly except the space bar has ceased up and needs repair. New ribbon. The keys are brass and black with gold letters. All the keys work properly and strike easily. The serial number is 5821482 stamped in the inside.

HISTORY
The Underwood Typewriter Company was a manufacturer of typewriters headquartered in New York City. Underwood produced what is considered the first widely successful, modern typewriter. By 1939, Underwood had produced five million machines.
